Mike Riley sucked cause he only beat easy teams

Me after watching us not beat easy teams for the last 7 years

Let's not pretend he didn't lose to easy teams too.

He was better than Frost. Not a lot more you can say about him.

Rhule also basically said firing Satt after this year would be "ridiculous" and "I'm not gonna do that"
He said the playcalling is fine. The players need more confidence which will lead to better execution.

Yeah, I think Rhule is “defending” the play call in public because that’s the message he’s said he gives the players. He told them not to worry about the play calls - their job is to execute what is called. They didn’t execute that one, so he wants their focus on that.

He had that whole rap about how he told them they didn’t lose to Northwestern because of the onside kick.

I’m sure he wishes they had run the ball instead. But he wants the players to focus on execution, not worrying about what’s called.

4 out the 5 teams Nebraska lost to were beatable.....

..... without turnovers.

Although this is true, I am not sure they are beatable without turnovers if they way you get to no turnovers is to go further into an offensive shell. Even if that were possible, you're certainly not developing anything that will have a chance to beat a decent team.

We're not talented enough to beat most teams with an offense that takes no chances, and virtually no one is.

The only real solution is to get a couple of competent QBs.

Really this is a 5-5 team that should probably be a 2-8 team
OTOH, if we had a QB who could, say, complete a mediocre 58% of his passes and average a mediocre 2.5% INT rate, we'd likely be 8-2.

If Marcus Washington was still healthy there's a good chance Purdy completes a TD pass to Kemp late in the MD game.

I think the loss of Washington is bigger than we're realizing. When you needed a big catch, he was usually good for one.
