Who's Turd's Ideal HC?

I love when we talk about coaches and someone brings up someone stupid (@Baron Winnebago most of the time) and the best argument is...."well he's better than Frost"

If our only criteria is to find someone better than Frost we might as well quit football.
I feel like the criteria is just to get back to the Pelini days when I'm still looking for that guy who was supposed to replace Pelini in the first place.

urban meyer is by far the best candidate
Yup, people may question my morals on wanting him, but for as long as.... nobody dies and we don't end up on probation I am all for it.

Want to hang out with some sloots? Go for it.

I'll try to make a case for Bill O'Brien...
Big 10 Experience picking up the pieces of a Penn State tragedy. Went 15-9 in that time but they were ineligible for bowls. Remember he had some serious recruting restrictionst too

He also had a winning record at Houston (52-48). Yes he traded the receiver to Arizona. Yes that was awful. But he had 1 losing record at Houston in 7 full seasons and won the division 4 times.
Here are the other coaches records at Houston
January 21, 2001 – January 2, 2006
4184600
January 26, 2006 – December 6, 2013
8616402
December 6, 2013 – January 1, 2014
Interim0300
January 2, 2014 – October 5, 2020
7524804
October 5, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Interim4800
January 28, 2021 – January 13, 2022
141300
February 7, 2022 – present
10000

He also is in the Saban rehab clinic so he's learned the ropes on how to recruit (Get Players Paid)

He wouldn't be my first choice. But not a bad choice for a team that likely has been out of BOWL contention for 6 years.
I have no idea what any of the candidates personalities are behind the scene. We have a fickle fanbase and boosters so we need someone they will accept or they won't support & accept them . But looking at just their track records plus experience I would be happy with Aranda, Rhule, O'Brien, Campbell, Gundy or Urban. Let's bring in a coach that knows what they are doing and has been through some shit before.

Turd wants a win at all costs coach (Urban Meyer)

If Frost is fired, he will be on my board.

Turd's kid graduated from West Point, he has watched a good amount of Army games, he has everything Turd wants in a HC as far as personality, etc...

Before you dismiss it completely, why do you think Army's OC/OL coaches were being rumored for our openings?

He is not my #1 pick.
could he bring his brother to be OC?

He was actually B1G COY in that first season

Although Aranda sounds great, he doesn't have much of a track record. He's only been a HC two years after being a coordinator a number of years He's been 2-7 & 12-2. The year before he came Matt Rhule was 11-3, so he wasn't exactly getting a rebuild situation. Resume-wise, this is very similar to Frost's history when he left UCF.

What happens this year with Baylor will provide an important data point on Aranda. I'd rather see someone who has inherited a tough situation and turned it around.

Also went to the Bill Belichek school of coaching.

they're close in age. Maybe they'd like a chance to work together. Who knows?
Yeah maybe... Like I said. There isn't any professional reason to do it.

I don't know if Nebraska would even match his salary (2 mil).

Yup, and he took over a shit show at Pedo St. Both Rhule & O'Brien did masterful jobs turning programs around quickly that had gone through serious scandals. Limited number of players yet still won. No excuses, just results. Just win baby
Both of these guys sound like perfect candidates to succeed Urb after his 2 nattys and subequent unjustified persecution by crabapples.
