Who's Turd's Ideal HC?

Who will Monken hire as his DC?

If the chips fall correctly Matt Rhule would be a really good pick up
Bill O'Brien would certainly be intriguing
Matt Campbell is not exciting, but he wins
If Urban is available I would not be surprised if Turd goes for it!

Matt is one name I always forget, but tend to agree.

I don't get the Bill O'Brien stuff. Not saying it wouldn't make sense I just have yet to have somebody make a case for him that makes sense. The only thing I really like about him is he has that stop with Saban and has some experience.

Don't want Campbell. He can't beat Cockeye and the B1G is full of programs like Cockeye. I also rule out any coach when asked about his goals says his goal was "to have the most together team" wtf does that even mean?

I would be surprised if Turd goes for Urban. I would be 100% fine with it because it would kick start this program, but I don't see it.

Yeah, I don't see us getting Urban.

The radio pontificators are placing the percentage in negative territory. Honestly, I'm just hoping Turd has an understanding of what it takes for Nebraska to compete moving forward. He's a competent administrator, far more competent than myself obviously so I'm hopeful he'll make a good hire.

I just wonder if he fully understands what has held this program back for 10+ years. IMO it's no real commitment to being elite at all facets of the program. Recruiting, development, culture, identity, etc.

Then add in the politics. It's a treacherous dance.

I'll try to make a case for Bill O'Brien...
Big 10 Experience picking up the pieces of a Penn State tragedy. Went 15-9 in that time but they were ineligible for bowls. Remember he had some serious recruting restrictionst too

He also had a winning record at Houston (52-48). Yes he traded the receiver to Arizona. Yes that was awful. But he had 1 losing record at Houston in 7 full seasons and won the division 4 times.
Here are the other coaches records at Houston
January 21, 2001 – January 2, 2006
4184600
January 26, 2006 – December 6, 2013
8616402
December 6, 2013 – January 1, 2014
Interim0300
January 2, 2014 – October 5, 2020
7524804
October 5, 2020 – January 3, 2021
Interim4800
January 28, 2021 – January 13, 2022
141300
February 7, 2022 – present
10000

He also is in the Saban rehab clinic so he's learned the ropes on how to recruit (Get Players Paid)

He wouldn't be my first choice. But not a bad choice for a team that likely has been out of BOWL contention for 6 years.

Kirk Ferentz has the personality of a Throw Pillow. What has he ever won? High floor but low ceiling. He's stubborn and refuses to adapt to the changing ways of the recruiting world. He can develop players and has outcoached Frost, but then again who hasn't outcoached Frost? Outdated and boring with limited success. Sad to see what some Husker Fans will settle for. Let's get us someone who gives us a chance of winning the B1G, or more
I love when we talk about coaches and someone brings up someone stupid (@Baron Winnebago most of the time) and the best argument is...."well he's better than Frost"

If our only criteria is to find someone better than Frost we might as well quit football.

Yeah, I just dont get overly excited about him. I don't know why.

Penn State was a shit show when he was there.
