Weve got two guys who will get drafted this year and probably a total of 5 that will be some day. The next level assault that our DL will put on their OL will be something to behold. NDSU is a good team with disciplined players. But they’re not very talented when you compare them to the P5.

We will take what we want when we want it.

OL was really unimpressive. Freshman LT was swimming for most of the night. Should be able to feast if they can get home. Last year there were a ton of opportunities for sacks that shadeur spun out of. Defense should improve from game 2 to game 14 under tony.

Only thing i worry about defensively is sticking with guys as plays break down. Only real success colorado had was 5+ seconds after the snap out of structure, finding someone deep that slipped through coverage. They've got good athletes and i like us better in 11 on 11 than 7 on 7

I'm reserving judgement until after tomorrow's game. I mean logically we should smoke them like a brisket but...
Yeah I'd like to see the defense play sound and offense get into the 30s at least with minimal turnovers.

Colorado didn't look any different than expected. Might be a little deeper at receiver than last year. They're going to have some big plays but get some pressure and tackle well and we should beat them pretty soundly. NDSU tackling in the secondary was terrible.

OL looks bad but is their DL really that bad? They're going to hold NDSU to under 150 yards rushing at this rate and they've been getting some pressure
It’s not their DL as much as they loaded the box. CU had zero respect for NDSU receivers and left every corner on an island all night. The safeties were in the box at the snap. If they do that to us and we can’t take advantage of it will be bad sign for the season. It means our WRs aren’t any good and our route concepts are shit.

NDSU also with 292 passing on 20/24. Not a great stat line for CU secondary.

The middle of the field from 5-15 yards was wide open all game. Had NDSU been able to continue to exploit that…

Colorado LBs were totally lost on any misdirection. A saw a lot of guys caught flatfooted on crossers. NDSU killed them with that split motion rollout into the flat a few times.

Could be part of their strategy to commit to the run, could be a sign that they have really poorly coached LBs who can't exchange assignments in zone. Leaning the latter - seemed like a ton of man coverage deep

It's a massive shame that Kotelnicki isn't at KU anymore and won't be able to scheme it up against this defense. That would be an OC clinic lmao

NDSU had one of the most lost secondaries I've seen in a long time.
