He's a 18-19 college freshman living halfway across the country from home, without a significant source of income, and going to school full time while playing division 1 football. He doesn't have the time or resources to provide for a child right now unless there's someone else helping him, and by helping him I mean doing basically everything needed.
He seems like a great kid, but he can't do this himself. Just being realistic.
