At the time Deion and Rhule were hired, I was a little nervous about the 2023 game. I was 100% sure Rhule was the better coach and would build a better program, but I wondered whether a couple skill position star transfers and a flash of confidence would let CU get off to a fast start and match up better the first year.

Never a doubt in my mind we were on an upward trajectory and they were a paper tiger, but it's soooo gratifying to see us prison rape them and have that be the tipping point where their program descends into a self-immolating dumpster fire.

Tony White is my favorite. Coach K is a very close second. I know TW is going to be a head coach somewhere next season. I just hope and pray Coach K stays with Rhule as long as Rhule is here.

I mean, If I'm TW...a head coaching job might be there and pay more and blah blah blah. Why for the love of GOD wouldn't you stay and build this thing for a few years if not more?

I don't know about that. We start an awful lot of seniors, especially on the lines, not to mention two of our top three WRs. That's why I really look at this year as the year to shoot our shot, even with a freshman quarterback. We're never going to be this old and experienced on the line again (literally, because of COVID years). We are going to have to hope all our backups are ready to shine next year and probably do really well in the portal again, which if we finish well this year, we could very well do.

All these national experts are voicing exactly what I (and a lot of us) thought about Nebraska vs. Colorado and what is going on in each program. Glad to see everyone else is seeing it now, and really glad we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot Saturday and drop this game.

I completely agree with you, especially how stacked the defense is with seniors. However, if we can get to a point where we build a strong foundation coupled with 1 or 2 transfers at each level to fill a gap, we should be fine.

I completely agree with you, especially how stacked the defense is with seniors. However, if we can get to a point where we build a strong foundation coupled with 1 or 2 transfers at each level to fill a gap, we should be fine.

I think some of that has to do with Rhule's tendency to have an improvement between year 2 and 3. But he didn't start with much at Temple and Baylor so it took awhile to get guys he recruited up to speed. I have some concerns about 2025 based on how many Senior starters, but a lot of the young bucks are coming up and playing good minutes so I think we will be ok in the end. Kind of a change from rebuilding to reloading. We can also use the transfer portal in a few spots as well.
