Thoughts on Volleyball Day in Nebraska?

Dumb. Its fuckin football season and we’ve have tile all over our field since saturday.

Would rather our boys go through walk throughs in an actual stadium on turf (what we’re playing on tomorrow) with some crowd noise pumped in.

But duck we have 45 yards of turf outside our stadium to walk through on.!.! Yeah and these bitches have a court they can play on!

Dumb bitches want to hashtag “losing record” on twitter when their mad about the training table but then want to play in our stadium. Fuck em i hope they get beat. Burn volleyball to the ground and build a bigger weight room for our boys over the ashes.

They will be doing a walk through on the field they'll be playing on.

Honestly, I don’t think you want to play anyone good where there is a chance of losing outdoors. You don’t want to take the chance of whether or wind playing a factor in a high-stakes game.

This is a spectacle, an exhibition. You want the actual important games to be played in normal conditions indoors.

I get that thought. But I actually think this is a "can't lose" situation. Couple things:

1. our beach teams beat everyone's ass too. They can play in weird outdoor conditions as well as anyone in college volleyball.
2. This would be the Easiest loss to overlook "They lost that awesome event in the weird conditions" no one has to go undefeated in volleyball.
3. The greatest way to grow notoriety is to put on a memorable matchup to go with a memorable event setup.

My daughter is less than a week old and I want to take her. I used to be an alpha, but I've became such a pussy in 6 days. This is huge for women's sports.

Potentially breaking a world record attendance record for women's sports is incredible, especially for a state with a population under 2 million people. The event is huge, the game not so much.

They played the first Women's Masters a month after my first daughter was born. And I was a mess thinking about how cool it was haha.

Normally the stadium for the last couple days leading up to the GAME. We practiced in it last thursday night and do quite a bit during the season. This aint fall camp no more jimbo we’re in season now.

Most teams do their walk through/game prep in the stadium on game week. Ours has been covered with a volleyball court all week though so our 45 yards of turf outside will do.

Do the volleyball shit last week, give us our stadium for game week.

@DuckSker is an idiot. During the season they don't use Memorial Stadium much, if at all. In my 75+ practices I've been to, they've been in Memorial once during game week, which was opening game @OSU during the COVID season. Offense and defense both need full length fields for scout and their work. Plus, it's a logistical nightmare moving all the practice equipment, video, etc from practice field to the game field.

First off I don't think you have a clue what "most teams" do.

Don't think it matters one bit. There's no weather to prepare for. It's going to be 75 and sunny. It's an away game in the middle of the week so it's already different than normal. First game so not a big deal.

No difference if they were on the practice field or memorial on Monday or Tuesday. You're truly just bitching to bitch here.

Didn’t realize Rhule was going to do everything the same practice wise that the previous 3-4 staffs did. My bad! We’ve been in the stadium multiple times already this fall as recently as last thursday. I guess we’ll see where we walk through on thursday/friday when there isnt volleyball shit and a stage in our stadium!
