Our whole mantra this off-season was "stop fucking up" I'm sure Dylan's being intentionally careful with the ball because that's what the coaches are preaching this year. Win the turnover battle and the D should keep you in it for most of the games. Also there's probably a little bit of adjusting to college game speed that's going on.
I don't disagree but it's a little strange bc I didn't notice it prior to that. Like he's overthinking it now is my point

I know you’ve all been waiting for my opinion on this so here it is.

Satt is fine. He’s not great, he’s not terrible, he’s just fine.

When he comes back next season I won’t complain, but if he left for some reason and we brought in someone else I probably wouldn’t complain either.

There was a 3rd and 11 early on and we were around the 45 or so and ran it up the middle. I'm not sure what that was about.

This is my same stance.

I agree he’s not worth top ten money.
I agree that I’d probably rather have someone else.
I don’t know that he’s performed bad enough to fire.
He’s very okay. He’s the okayest OC in the nation.

IMO. I think Satt is a good play designer. They run some really good stuff.
- The Jet game and compliments
- Manufacturing touches to Barney Jr.
- Utilizing Raiola's ability to throw the intermediate ball
- Some creative design in the run game.
- Screen game
- Despite losing two LTs, and not having Bazooka, they've protected Raiola a lot better than I'd imagine they would.

What I'm not a fan of
- Going R2P2 mode in the 2nd half
- Not going back to some run scheme that was successful throughout the game.
- Beating our heads into a wall running Duo and gaining two yards a pop.

I will say this, I think is at Rhule's direction. They don't want to give away games. They want to wear the opponent down in the run game to burst some of those duo runs. They're not afraid to lean on their defense.

People keep talking about the Bonner play, but the wrinkle I really loved was the fake on that jet sweep to Barney, which ended up being an opposite side screen to Rhamir. That was a really nice looking play!

The reason the offense looked like trash the 2nd half was because Dylan made his first big mistake of the year and got ultra-conservative.

Which is EXACTLY what everyone wanted.

Last year we would get 1-2 score leads and then our QB would find a new and creative way to fuck up every time.

Yesterday we got a 2 score lead and our QB decided to be so uncreative that we couldn’t possibly fuck it up.

There’s no pleasing some of the taters. Just enjoy the win.

What surprised me the most was that there were several opportunities for Dylan to check down to a guy in the flat that didn't have anyone within 10 yards of him, and he didn't take it. Earlier in the season, he had no problem doing that...

It's not. Vandy Tim Beck was a long time coach at Pittsburg State. Nebraska Tim Beck is currently the HC at Coastal Carolina.
Went back through the thread and realized I missed the first part where they were talking about a Vandy coach.

I think it means playing QB in 30-40mph winds...
The one time we went deep down the sideline it looked like it was going to be a perfect pass coming right in the direction I was sitting (thanks again @nja13).

Then the wind gust and it went 20 yards out of bounds. I swear it moved 10 feet sideways in the blink of an eye.

The wind was brutal.

Was that the one Raiola snuck the ball to Rahmir through like 8 guys? That was his best throw of the day.
