Breaking SI Thinks Dyl, effed up...

Just don’t think you can let him back. Maybe you take it to the locker room, but unfortunately we don’t have a very strong unity council or player leadership. Which, ironically, is at least partially due to relying so heavily on Dylan for everything, including leadership.
This. Dude was supposed to be your 3 year returning starter at QB and hasn’t been around to help the young QB get ready for the bowl game, has made our coaches spend time looking for portal adds, etc. But then doesn’t get traction in the portal so comes back to us?

He ain’t coming back. Nor should we let him.

Emmett entered the portal prematurely last year. He hadn’t even had a chance to hear Nebraska’s offer.

Inaccurate.

Leverage for more money.

His play allowed him to demand more, Rhule gave 1890 the thumbs up and with Holgorsen involved EJ accepted the new/updated offer and returned.

EJ had too many people on the outside in his ear. He would've gotten the exact same offer this past week if he just stayed patience.

If Dylan were to come back with restrictions, does anyone really believe Dom would adhere to them? He can't help himself-it's what he does.
IDK, if it gets to the point they want to return to DONU after being rejected by the portal, there has to have been some humble pie swallowed. I think we all know returning is not their top choice.

If there was a way back and it was happening we would know because the local recruiting/media guys would start softening us up about it. So far, I haven't heard anyone hinting at it.

For the record, my opinion is that he shouldn't be allowed back.

He's fat.
His dad is delusional about his current ability and professional future.
He has shown it's more about him and his NFL aspirations than it ever was about Nebraska.
He used us.
We knew he was using us but tried to squeeze what we could out of it.
There is no more juice to squeeze.
Good luck at Louisville or Syracuse.

I think we may be Raiola’s best option, and he may be ours. Pains to say. No one in their right mind would choose someone like Chiles or a Notre dame backup that’s never started over Dylan, even with his faults.

We would get on board eventually. One or two posts from an insider about how much better our ground game or OL will be and the koolaid would flow again.

You’re saying the same thing. He entered the portal before hearing 1890s offer. He thought it was for leverage, but everyone at NU was ready to pay him.

I distinctly remember DB saying “EJ will be fine, he just needed to be patient” on his show last year.

No, I'm not.

EJ had an offer within a couple days following the Ioa game.

Brothers - Let's not do this. He's gone and not coming back. Prolonging it with click bait articles like the OP aren't helpful to anyone, no matter where you stand on DR as a QB.

Feel free to skip it, bitch. But if you can't offer more than that, take your act elsewhere...

No problem. I can't believe in this day people can't avoid what they don't like. Skip the click if you're butthurt...

I called this shit the second the rumors started flying around. The Raiolas are crazy if they think they are gonna get a better deal than they had here. And if they think Dylan will get 4-5 million somewhere else then Dom needs stem cell therapy on his CTE riddled brain. Never gonna happen.
