I generally agree, however… maybe the best criminal defense attorney I have seen in trial is an obese public defender based out of the Kansas City suburbs.

I asked him once why he isn’t a partner at some big firm pulling in $500k a year working 30 hour weeks etc. He just looked at me dead in the eye and said “who would hire me based on how I look?” I felt so awkward and little bad for him admitting that out loud but it makes sense.

Anyhoo, he is the exception that proves the rule on obese lawyers and public defenders. Generally speaking you don’t want either type of lawyer unless it’s this fat wizard from Harrisonville Missouri.
