Gonna be interesting when the dust settles to learn why a Rhule disciple (most likely as I assume he’s gone) did him dirty the day before signing day. For someone who relishes loyalty above all this has gotta sting.

And as for the players, WTF was so bad that so many are jumping ship? This morning Benning warned there would be more and recognizable names. He said it was gonna be a blood letting. I thought that was an interesting choice of words

Idk. But yeah, it had seemed like guys were generally happy playing for Rhule

I’m all for a bloodletting from this roster. Rhule knows these guys well.

This is assuming that DB used the term “bloodletting” very intentionally.

Knighton seems like a good dude, solid coach. None of these guys are irreplaceable. He inherited the most talented position group on the roster. Did any of the young guys make a jump from year 1 to 2? Nash regressed this year. Ty Rob has always been a stud. Kids clearly loved playing for him but there are many other dline coaches out there who can do the job just as good if not better.

I think people get caught up in his cool catch phrases and overall aura as opposed to what he did from coaching perspective.

How did Nash regress?

Nash was a much better player in 23 than 24. He was dominant at times in 23. Maybe he was dealing with an injury this year, but his production was down.

40 tacks and 4.5 sacks in 23 to 15 tackles and 2 sacks in 24.

I think it was pretty clear to anyone who has watched the last two years he wasn’t the same player this year.

I blame wrasslin.

Maybe it was the weight he lost from wrestling...did he ever get it all back?

Didn't realize we only ended up with 26 sacks on the year. In comparison, somehow a Chins' lead defense had more in 2019.

Felt like we had 20 very early on in the season. Perhaps the DL wasn't as good as we thought it was, and that Ty basically carried that entire crew.

James Williams would of had 10 sacks if offsides wasn’t a thing
