Running List of Coaches Leaving NU 2024 Edition

Maguire is staying on in a different role, presumably a recruiting position.
That's was discussed last night, but this guy is a former 30-under-30 stalwart, which means he croots up a storm. Do we need two crootin' guys who cover TX and the WR position group? That was my question. I've got no problem with Maguire staying on in a different capacity, but is he being retained in the "Department of Redundancy Department"?

Edited to note that @Herbie responded while my decrepit fingers were mashing the keyboard in this response.

I mean, he's been the main guy recruiting Michael Terry III. I don't see why you wouldn't keep a guy like that on staff in some capacity. Texas is huge and it doesn't hurt to have 2 guys down there working towards a common goal.

You can’t have too many good recruiters. We obviously have the money so why not keep him in a role here?

Remember though if we move McGuire to a non-staff role, he can't do recruiting visits. And he can't be lead recruiter on guys.

I know the rules are hazy but if he gets moved to an analyst role or recruiting dept role, he can actually do less recruiting.

However I know we've had non staff like Philip Simpson be involved somehow so I guess there's some things he could do. But Shorts would be the lead TX guy since he's the staff member I would assume.

Random question - if Satt stays, how does that effect his contract? Can we have him not be the most expensive TE coach ever?
