I know someone that is a close friend of his. Said he had pain in his shoulder for a long time and ignored it. Turns out it was cancer that had spread. Originated in pancreas. Pretty bad odds. I saw that photo 😢 That’s tough. #cancersucks

He was on a couple of nights this week. Appeared to be doing the show from a different location while Jessica was in the studio.

I hate to be morbid here, because I know Sharpe is an incredible human being beyond being a broadcaster.
But who is going to take over if he can't be the PBP voice?
Kent Pavelka is the only guy with talent and experience to take over the role, and he's just a part time guy with the network.
I used to work in broadcasting. Football PBP requires a lot of experience in order to execute it at the level expected for a power 5 program. Guys like Ben McGlaughlin or Matt Coatney frankly have no football experience.
But who is going to take over if he can't be the PBP voice?

Ideally they'd bring back a guy like Jeff Culhane but he has a pretty good gig now with Florida State after being at NDSU before that.

Got to listen to sports nightly tonight on my way into town for a fire department meeting, Greg was on tonight and he sounded pretty good. Hopefully things are going well for him! Hope we can hear him for a game or two this fall.

Pancreatic Cancer takes people out quick
5 yr survival rate is about 10%
If it spread outside the pancreas (which per above it was stated it moved to other areas/shoulder) the survival rate is only months
He won’t be doing games this Fall outside of possibly pinch hitting in the booth or doing some remote work on the air.

lady in my town just got cleared of all cancer after a stage 4 pancreatic cancer a year ago
