Peeds & Davison

Didn't realize they owned the whole Dormie Network. Or are they just partners with the North Carolina branch it's named from?

Surprisingly affordable - I believe 10K Initiation, then like 6K per year for membership. Awesome courses. Great clubhouses.

I think NOT going the standard format of charging per round, food and beverage, etc...probably comes from their more remote locations. Not exactly placed in "easy" travel destinations. So you have to drive to get to and then nowhere to stay except on their property which is expensive as shit and limited. I do like that at Arbor you can stay at Lied Lodge and get a time there. Usually do that every fall.
Peeds own the whole thing.

Every time I see the thread title "Peeds & Davison" I think of Pete Davidson

And when I think Pete Davidson, I think teacher trial

After hearing this whole thing out, I think it could be good. An endless supply of money for the football team cannot be a bad thing. However, I am very skeptical. I guess we'll see how it goes. I don't like the idea of the Peeds essentially being able to influence football decisions. They've obviously done very well for themselves and are successful in ventures outside of football, but that doesn't mean they know anything about football. The Peeds having a window to be potential influencers just makes me uncomfortable. They could of hired anyone to run this and they hired their bud Matt the catch.

Yeah I mean I agree in general, but let's face it - rich zillionaires are going to be running these things no matter what. I wouldn't trust ANY of them with football decisions. But that's the way NIL is, and that's already the way boosters have worked forever. Now instead of behind the scenes donations they are using their priceless jewel collections to bring in recruits. It's not like there is some other zillionaires that I WOULD trust with football decisions. Just keep them shoveling the money, that's all that matters.

This might be going a little to far, but a thought: What is their limit? Like with this deal could they legitimately influence the next potential hire? I think that’s a very real possibility which makes me uneasy. Nebraska has had to many chefs in the kitchen that legitimately know nothing about football for to long. I guess ultimately if the right guy gets put in place it probably doesn’t matter, BUT

What a college football world we live in now…

They always affected it in some fashion. I would imagine the more you lose the more they affect it.

The way our boosters interact with our Athletic Department reminds me of big time politics. It seems like they are doing something beneficial for us but in the long run we get screwed with unwanted results or taxes and they get rich. Just like these Politicians that go into office with a Net Worth of under $500,000 but retire after 6-12 years with 10's of Millions in their pockets. We have slowly learned not to believe all of the media's headlines, and Dean too falls under media. If he is pimping it big time then it makes one wonder. Hoping Gerrod & Bruning aren't moved over to this company.

I want the Swamp Drained and Turd to be able to do what is best for the Athletic Program. Hopefully he is strong enough to be able to keep the Boosters under control but also happy enough that they are writing big checks. That's our goal.

I understand all that. I’ve only played Arbor in the network and the experience is always great. I just don’t see anyone there other than our group.

I can’t figure out how getting $10k per group a few times a week is better than getting $150 a head + F&B x’s 4 from 7:30-2:30 (6 groups/hr, 7 hours a day) - $25k/day. Granted, $25k assumes a pretty full tee sheet, but even if that’s only happening a couple times a week, that still seems more profitable.

Now, I know they’re also getting annual or monthly membership dues, so maybe that’s where they make up for it.

Wait until gray bull opens - they could probably get $250+ a head rack rate. That place will crush it.
It’s been busy down there during the week both of my trips this year. They want the course to be accessible for members - they don’t want a full tee sheet. I played with their CFO one round fwiw.

I'm sure future head coach Lance Leipold/Matt Campbell/Bill O'Brien is excited about this

Bryan Wilson doing the Lords work. Drain the Swamp Turd, Drain the Swamp. Tired of these hangers ons getting rich and hurting our program. When former players are putting it out there you know it is bad. Granted one of those former players is CLester who can be a dipshit but appreciate him calling out what was going on. people's eyes need to be opened and Turd needs to be able to do his job. Drain the Swamp

I gues I don’t understand Bryan here. How can having a boatload more cash for NIL be bad for the athletic programs at Nebraska ?

Having Sandhills & the Peeds backing this who are Billionaires will only benefit our Football & Volleyball programs greatly
I don’t think he’s talking about the Peeds. It’s directed at Davison just lingering around DONU

I mean I guess he has, but Davison does seem to care about the university & trying to make it better. People forget that Frost truly was the hottest name on the market when we hired him & Davison helped get him here. The revisionist history from some on that is ridiculous.

He’s arrogant & has made mistakes but has relationships with big time donors at Nebraska. Everyone wants to point a finger & Davison is a scapegoat. People that hate him should be happy, he’ll no longer be employed by NU
