ABM was fucked from the beginning due to its leadership. Turd recognized that and became a power broker for one he could get behind. No way Turd was going to deal with jokers at ABM, directly or indirectly.

I'm gonna just act as if this is good news - Davison can still be a hanger-on without having his hand on any levers inside the AD, and some of the richest fat cats are pouring money into NIL just like we need them to, so whatever. The people who run these types of things are, by nature, always going to be rich shady booster types. Just let them shovel their money toward NU without letting them try to boss Turd around.

Shawn Peed, the son of Tom Peed, is a buddy of Frost/Davison/Bruning and the rest of the Brat Pack in Lincoln. He loves being a person of influence and being pals with ‘known’ people in the community. He and his family were big enablers of Frost’s behavior.

I got news for ya…every schools collective has guys just like Davison and the Peed’s. Just how the business is going to work. Hanger ons that can give some insight into the program and rich people who want to own an NFL team but aren’t that rich so they want to swing their dicks around by influencing their favorite college program.

Without the Peeds' financial support for setting up The 1890 initiative, gobbling up ABM in the process (mentioned as a 'merger'), Matt would not have lasted in the Athletic Dept. much longer, especially that he was demoted to fundraising operations.

But he still gets to be on radio on game days with Greg Sharp, and now has a new NIL.
