Peeds & Davison

I'm just saying as a Business Owner I am not writing a check for advertising/promotion that is going to be done in 30 months. I'd want quicker ROI. I believe they have collected $5 million already. And if they do have $3 mill sitting in their Bank Account are they making money off of the interest? Admittedly I don't know how NIL works but honestly after hearing how poorly some of the boosters felt ABM was run I considered trying to get into it. I've dealt with the music, movie & sports world for so many years so promoting and dealing with it would not have been that big of a learning curve. Paying a performer $5,000 to perform as an MC at a party or on an ad was pretty easy to set up. Just need a good lawyer and well thought out business plan. Nebraska Fans love to support our Huskers.
Yeah you wouldn't pay up front for more years. If it's me and I'm promoting ABM I'm saying I raised 5 mil based on what the contracts full amounts are. I'm not basing it on how much cash has been collected.

I am also guessing but I'd assume most of the contracts are more than one year. Wouldn't be the least bit shocked their cut is 20%. That would take care of 1 mil.

As you said doesn't sound like they've been on the up and up through this so a ponzi scheme wouldn't be super shocking either. Expecting more money to come in to pay what's owed on prior contracts.

The golf courses are good. I am excited for Gray Bull. Love David McClay Kidd as an architect.

Always been confused on how profitable Dormie Network is for the Peeds. Just get the feeling it's a hobby for Zach and they take it on at a loss.
Lol we had this exact conversation at dinner last night. The hospitality and overall experience is A+. Courses are usually in great condition. I usually go down to Arbor as a guest of my broker a couple times per year. With 8 guys, 36 holes, forecaddies, lunches, breakfast, dinner, drinks, and lodging I’d guess each outing like that is pushing $10k. That’s really their business model.

I understand all that. I’ve only played Arbor in the network and the experience is always great. I just don’t see anyone there other than our group.

I can’t figure out how getting $10k per group a few times a week is better than getting $150 a head + F&B x’s 4 from 7:30-2:30 (6 groups/hr, 7 hours a day) - $25k/day. Granted, $25k assumes a pretty full tee sheet, but even if that’s only happening a couple times a week, that still seems more profitable.

Now, I know they’re also getting annual or monthly membership dues, so maybe that’s where they make up for it.

Wait until gray bull opens - they could probably get $250+ a head rack rate. That place will crush it.

Didn't realize they owned the whole Dormie Network. Or are they just partners with the North Carolina branch it's named from?

Surprisingly affordable - I believe 10K Initiation, then like 6K per year for membership. Awesome courses. Great clubhouses.

I think NOT going the standard format of charging per round, food and beverage, etc...probably comes from their more remote locations. Not exactly placed in "easy" travel destinations. So you have to drive to get to and then nowhere to stay except on their property which is expensive as shit and limited. I do like that at Arbor you can stay at Lied Lodge and get a time there. Usually do that every fall.

I'd say the difference is made up in lodging and food and bev. Exclusivity is one of the biggest selling points. They'd rather have a few groups a day who really enjoy the experience than a full tee sheet and 30 groups.

Every time I see the thread title "Peeds & Davison" I think of Pete Davidson

They own the whole network. The name and buying Dormie Club were just a perfect marriage.

They're placed in 'easy' locations for guys who are flying private. That's their target market. One of the courses has a private airstrip.
