I mean I guess he has, but Davison does seem to care about the university & trying to make it better. People forget that Frost truly was the hottest name on the market when we hired him & Davison helped get him here. The revisionist history from some on that is ridiculous.

He’s arrogant & has made mistakes but has relationships with big time donors at Nebraska. Everyone wants to point a finger & Davison is a scapegoat. People that hate him should be happy, he’ll no longer be employed by NU

I agree with a lot of that but him not being employed by the University is kind of moot. He's still making his livelihood off of NE football and this role still gives him some control over the football program. I don't think it's much but he's going to be able to push some players and donors in the direction he wants it to go.

I think the Davison stuff is more jealousy than Frost. Fact is there's clearly a very rich booster thar has his back. What he's done to deserve that I don't know. Here's people that are former players with more than likely modest jobs/income watching him feeding off NE Football and it pisses them off.

I think a lot of it has to do with back in the day. A lot of them still blame Frost for Phillips. Frost was a bitch then and it doesn’t seem like he really changed much.

If you can hold a grudge that long that's more lame than the jealousy card. It's not like Phillips was this great innocent guy that got fucked over. Guy was a mental case.

I’m just telling you why they don’t like the guy. You could also put some of it on him going to Stanford out of high school. I don’t know enough about Davison. I buy the jealousy part for him. Every person but one I’ve known who knows Frost has nothing good to say about him. The same goes for his late dad. I think Frost rubs a lot of people the wrong way with his arrogance.

Agreed, Davison seems to be great at building relationships with wealthy boosters . Nothing wrong with it but it’s given him a good career path hanging around the program. I’m sure much of it from the other former players is jealousy…

Probably both jealousy and annoyance from former players. Davison made a career off of one lucky catch. Frost was never well liked by most his teammates.
