Could just be wishful thinking, but IMO, guys like him are football coaches for a reason. I don't think it is really something you can just "turn off."

That and that his brand is still relevant. In 4 years he’s no longer a hot name and has been out of the game for a while.

The big difference between the two is that Rhule has had success at the college level. Callahan was always a pro guy.

Callahan was a reach at the time. Rhule isn’t a reach. He would be considered one of the better hires in this cycle. If we get him hopefully it translates to the success we think it will.

Kind of. Cosgrove's scoring D was t24 in 2006-7 and then fell off a cliff and gave up like 14 more ppg in 2007-8, so I'm not sure when he should have fired Cosgrove
