Outdoors thread

Does it seem like the Grayling and trout are eating the same flies or if you're fishing for one or the other do you switch it up?
They mostly go after the same stuff such as nymphs, dry flies, or salmon egg imitation
beads. I usually refer to grayling as the bluegill of the north. They aren’t real picky.

These were actually my first grayling of the year. Right now all of the fish are out of the streams and in the big river. The trick there is finding a hole and also finding clear enough water.

Man I miss the old days of pheasant, duck and goose hunting. Mad respect for you boys keeping it alive. This is a great thread

Fuck that! If he wasn’t such a pussy he’d have a sidearm and have shot that furry bastard between the eyes. Props to him for hanging in the fight with his fists and feet tho. Takes balls for that
Most definitely!! l’ll always remember my Uncle teaching my cousin and I from a young age. The importance of having a sidearm on you whenever out in the bush.
Growing up always going with him to his hunting camp and company hunting lodge. Both of these were deep in the Adirondack Mountains, Blue Mountain Lake area.

Scary as a kid when I’d see his hand move toward his sidearm, before I even saw any predators. I can still feel my stomach drop in fear thinking about it now. lol
