OT: Travel agents in Omaha

They may have a good experience, but after meeting with them and then telling me they’ll follow up with an idea of a cost with nothing actually coming, I don’t have faith.
Who is your agent?

Outside of My Big Fat Greek Wedding I have literally never seen a Travel Agency open in my life. (Im 32)
34 here, and they’re hard to find.

The main reason why I want one is because it is Italy and someone may have better insight going from city to city.

If I had my own way, I would just drop money on some Caribbean resort and go with that. Nope, gotta see the historical shit.

I can’t name names yet, but it’s a she.
Jacki is cool if you have her, I know her personally. Looks like their cool office manager left too so if it’s not her I won’t feel bad if you go somewhere else lol

It’s Jacki.

I just followed up with her today and she had us mixed up with another couple. It’s like, nope, that’s not us.

My parents got home last week from a two week trip to Italy where they went to 6-7 different cities. If you have any questions I can relay some info back and forth.

Damn. That’s a lot stops. When you get a chance, which cities and their top three out of them please?

Happy to share our itinerary from a trip we took in 2019. Shoot me a message with what you want to accomplish. Obviously you’re getting roasted in this thread, don’t use a travel agent(if they exist) … happy to help you out.

Will do. I'm not dead set on one, but at this point, between work, planning a wedding, and planning a month's of charity raising along with other shit, I just don't know if I have the energy to plan a fucking Italy vacation.

They went to:
Milan, Desenzano del Garda, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Cinque Terre (manarola), Rome, Naples, and Sorrento. I think they were gone closer to 2.5 weeks.

From my dad:
"Your Mom and I may have different favorites, but I think we'd agree on the top 4. Among the bigger cities, I loved Venize and Florence. Venice is totally unique. There's no other place like it. And Florence is so rich in history and art (and the food was amazing). But we both loved Manarola and Sorrento, both beautiful seaside towns. Manarola is tiny and worth a day or two. Sorrento is a bit bigger and worth a 2 day stay. Both absolutely beautiful, very relaxing, less crowded than Venice/Rome/Florence."

Damn. They delivered. Thank you!

Jeff Leach with Dream Vacations. Him and his wife do it together. They are great to work with.

I’ll track down our detailed itinerary. My wife is very good at that stuff and we had a great trip knocking out much of what anyone would like to see in the following spots.

Flew into..Milan
Venice
Florence
Pisa
Tuscany
Rome
Amalfi
Pompeii
Out of…Naples

How did you get around? Train?

We are going to Europe and while I’ve been before, my wife is overloading me wanting to visit a million places. I’m more of a spend as much time in one place as possible and soak it all in, she’s more of a gotta visit everywhere.
