I’d take Nebraska at 14.5 but not much further than that. Illinois does not look good.

Just some context, Illinois has an incredibly unsustainable +2.67 TO margin/game. Kansas outplayed them, but turned the ball over 4 times. They still almost won on the road at night with a -3 TO margin. I just don’t think we’re that team this year, and we have home field + night game.

Kansas is their best win who is 1-2. But they will be our toughest defensive test. It will be a back and forth with the defenses. I’m glad we rested Butler and some other guys.

Same offense we completely shut down in Illinois last year. QB is not mobile and they are turnover prone. As long as offense doesn’t turn it over, I think we win comfortably.

Watched the KU-Illinois game and I must say Kansas incompetently blew that game away.

They had a pick-6 on a WR screen pass.

Illinois muffed a punt into a KU defender. The ball went into the end zone and Illinois recovered that ball. I guess the rule on that is that once the ball has been touched by the kicking team and it goes into the end zone the receiving team can recover the ball and it’s a touchback rather than a safety? 🤷 That’s what the ruling was.

This Illinois team isn’t better than us. Have a good week of prep, stop reading your press clippings, and go win the game by two TDs.
