No argument from me.If uncle Donny can’t sign anyone better than Gibson Pyle in this class get him the fuck out of here on the next flight
Welcome to The Platinum Board. We are a Nebraska Husker news source and fan community.

I'm willing to take that risk. This is the Simulation. You fire Donovan, Georgia will hire him, and five years from now he’ll be considered the top OL coach in college football.
I found fraudst burner accountRhule better get his ass to Bellevue West asap and lock up Kaelin. No more country concerts its time to work!
I'm not quite sure what people are expecting out of a consistent 4-8 program in recruiting. Honest question. Nebraska has the longest bowl drought in P5 IIRC. We are a shit program right now.If you look at the top 50 players I don’t think there is one who has committed to or is leaning toward a team that had 4 wins last year . We’ve actually averaged slightly less than 4 a season over the last six years.
100% Rhule and co have an up hill battle to get us out of the hell scotch put us in. It wont happen over night let alone 6 months.I'm not quite sure what people are expecting out of a consistent 4-8 program in recruiting. Honest question.
Rhule, Satterfield, Donnie, Cooper etc...THEY ARE RECRUITING FOR A 4-8 PROGRAM. What on earth are we expecting them to do that they're not? Close on 5*s and high 4*s?
I haven't seen any cogent argument yet for why a brand new staff at a 4-8 program should be able to recruit a top 10 class before they've even coached a game. If you have an argument for this, please share it.
We heard a lot of… “just trust us, if you knew what we know you’d know he is N” … have those insiders said what exactly they knew yet?? Was DR actually silent committed at one point like was said?Member when people said NIL was gonna level the playing field with the big dogs?
There are only a couple of guys who would have, say, a 15-20% chance of pulling it off - Urban and Saban. And they would never go somewhere that had averaged less than 4 wins for 6 years.I'm not quite sure what people are expecting out of a consistent 4-8 program in recruiting. Honest question. I for one look forward to seeing what the 17th iteration of our “Top Tier” NIL collective will bring to the table. We heard a lot of… “just trust us, if you knew what we know you’d know he is N” … have those insiders said what exactly they knew yet?? I posted this elsewhere and someone responded by saying he had seen Dylan play some complete games last year and it was way different than watching Hudl highlights. He said Dylan was getting chased down from behind by HS DL who were not D1 prospects. From On.3 National's commitment article this afternoon
Questions heading into the fall
Tater Island was the first national outlet to tab Dylan Raiola as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. We’ve been high on his ability and upside for some time. He now ranks as the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback in what looks to be one of the weaker cycles at the position in a few years. With that said, there are some questions around his evaluation heading into his senior season.
Raiola simply did not look as comfortable as a junior at Chandler when compared to his sophomore year at Burleson. There was less playmaking and overall confidence in the play. Some of his throws tended to hang and many of the big gains came on busted coverages and runs after the catch.
We also want to see more mobility. Quarterback is becoming an increasingly athletic position. The ability to escape pressure and pick up yardage on the ground at the high school level is very telling when projecting future top draft picks. Raiola’s -82 rushing yards as a junior would be a massive outlier relative to nearly any NFL Draft pick at the position, let alone a first-rounder. For comparison, the last 26 first-round quarterbacks averaged 634 rushing yards as seniors. I have not seen a quarterback with negative rushing yards taken highly in recent history. He’s a bigger-bodied quarterback with the last verified weight coming in at 228 pounds over a year ago. Anthony Richardson was the biggest first-round quarterback in recent memory as a high school senior, checking in at 225 pounds (while running a verified 4.50 40).
So we are now firmly in the "He wasn't really that good" stage of the process I see.I posted this elsewhere and someone responded by saying he had seen Dylan play some complete games last year and it was way different than watching Hudl highlights. I never believed he was a generational talent. He had a shitty junior year. That's been talked about many times. And negative rushing yards - also discussed many times. And his high school won-loss record wasn't great - talked about many times. So we are now firmly in the "He wasn't really that good" stage of the process I see.

But - why?
UGA isn't exactly known for their QB development...Bennett was the highest drafted QB in a while (4th round)
