If Cags doesn't pitch in the opener against the Huskers, who would the Gaytors go to?

Pierce Coppola has been the Friday night guy for the last month, but he’s limited to around 80 pitches or so, which could tax the bullpen, so I would expect Florida to go with Liam Peterson and have Cags pitching in a normal rest situation on Saturday.

We’ll talk to Kevin O’Sullivan [Gaytors head coach] later this week but I would expect that Florida would throw freshman Peterson or Coppola.

Cags "pitching in a normal rest situation on Saturday, June 1st, is an interesting statement since he hasn't pitched since May 18.

Coppola's stats are Gawd awful.

Couldn't find the bunting stats, but I would venture to guess there's an average across college baseball around 2 bunts per game. Personally if I were a college coach, I would bunt a bit less than some of the current coaches do (reserved for only against top pitchers in mid-late innings in a 1 or 2 run game).

Also, one of the most exciting plays in sports is a suicide squeeze.

I watch nearly 150 MLB games a year too. Both are good for different reasons. Baseball is just awesome.
