I'd be for it but the message board masses would likely revolt. They'd think that it would kill our chances to get recruits that want to play in a pro system. System aside, he's a damn good coach.

I'll be pretty disappointed if TA doesn't offer Aranda or #2ndChoice upwards of $10 million/year and make them say no
For more realistic candidates, I'd be okay with Whittingham. He probably should have been hired in one of the previous searches and he's older than I'd prefer, but living in Pac-12 country I've seen quite a few Utah games over the years and they always seem very well-coached.

Cool for the fans that cum their pants watching that garbage but I can go be a fan of another already established perennial 7-5 team (at best).
Nebraska doesn't need to run the option as it's base to go back to being a run focused offense. Matt Rhule, Matt Campbell, Josh Gattis, and others would all bring a run based offense to Nebraska that relies on running backs being the focus on the run game and not QB.

I don't think Monkey would run the flexbone here. Just my personal opinion. He's a top notch coach IMO.

I don’t think so either. I’ve opined on this before..he’s not hiring guys like Drinkall to be a power 5 flex bone guy.

I would still hope Turd sets his sights higher with a proven coach in the power 5 or a top assistant who did some good things at the power 5 level as a head coach like Bill O’Brien. If we get to plan c or whatever it is what it is then.

Exactly. You and I have both had conversations about Drinkall. He's a spread 11 personal power/counter guy. I think he's a fantastic coach.
In reality. That's what we need. Is fantastic coaches that develop guys. Because it seems we've been lacking quite a bit in that category lately.
I'm in agreement though with many. You take a big fat brinks truck, and back it up to Aranda's home. And give him anything else he wants 1st.

He didn’t do bad at PSU and he has been through the Belichick-Saban schools. I’m pretty sure he would give you good qb play and he would recruit some talent. He would also surround himself with good assistants. Nothing is a sure thing but he checks a lot of boxes for a power 5 coach.

I never really factor in how any college coaches do in the pros. Urb and Saban probably sucked worse in the pros and they are two of the best ever in college. I agree O’Brien comes off as an ass but a lot of coaches are egotistical asses.

What I want, if Frost is fired, is Monken as HC first. Clean cut, no baggage, good PR, no rumors type guy. Discipline, smart football. Honestly what I thought Frost would turn into given the connection to Tom. Then, give me Jamey Chadwell as OC. Fuck this new age spread garbage. Give the TO/modern Triple Option that CC runs with real Zach Duval/Boyd Eppley Husker Power, and Raiola still as the O Line coach with an actual committed run game. Give Mickey a raise to stay with the WRs. That’s what I want

He's a technician and a great teacher of IZ/OZ. Chadron State's OL were always top notch when he was there.
And sorry, he's not at Toledo. Bill O'Boyle is at Kent State.
Kent State was 3rd in the nation in rushing yards at 3481 yards, averaged 5.8 yards a carry and 248 rushing yards a game.
Kent State was also 4th in the nation in total yardage.
