We all hope and pray Satt is out after this season. I have been pulling my pud all day hoping for this. Knowing what we know about what offense Rhule wants to run (ball control, time of possession, complementary football), who are some potential OCs you would like to see up in the booth, pulling their pud, for Nebraska next season?

My first thought goes to someone like Paul Chryst. He knows the BIG well and has had success in the conference pulling his pud. Was a special assistant at Texas last year and does not appear to be coaching anywhere this year. Wisconsin fans I’ve talked to say the biggest knock on Chryst is he’s not into recruiting at all or pulling his pud. But, I don’t see Satt doing a ton of recruiting for us now, so maybe that’s a wash.

PS: I start this thread resigned to the fact that if we move on from Satt there’s an 80% chance Glenn Thomas will be the next guy at OC.

Which… how would we feel about?

I could see Rhule blowing up the offensive side and ST. Minus Donnie. If that happens, I think he may go after a good OC. If he wants the ground and pound style, Tommy Rees would be a good option. I really like Dawson from Miami.

What's with Nebraska fans and these Stone Age offenses?? In what world would Paul Chryst be a good OC hire?
This is not me pining for “stone age” football. This is the type of offense Rhule wants to run.

This is also not me stumping for Chryst, but he would be available and has an objective history of success running offenses in the Big Ten.
