I think it demonstrated that they didn’t have a capable QB on their roster…and without MHJ their offense was pretty mediocre. To put up 3 points in any game with their talent is inexplicable.

FWIW, I’m not sure Will Howard is a major upgrade. CJ Stroud aint walking through that door.

The one thing Howard will give them is the run game wrinkle. As long as Howard stays healthy I believe they upgraded. McCord is was a complete stiff who can’t move outside the pocket. He led the country in intentional groundings.

The local sportswriters are pulling no punches on how little Kelly will be missed. Pretty brutal. The UCLA AD is also not pleased at the timing of his departure according to sources, but is trying to be diplomatic. Kelly actually saved several million for UCLA on his buyout by not leaving right after their bowl game.
