my other concern is this. They don’t seem great at identifying talent. Sims was a whiff and they went all in on him. How do you look at our tackles and not tell 1890 to throw everything at Rouse or the kid from Rhode Island? MJ Sherman is just depth. Same with Borders (I know he’s young). Kemp is just a guy.

We did try to get that Arkansas QB so I wouldn’t say we went all in on Sims. It’s that when you take a starting QB at that level it’s not very common that you have a shit at grabbing a second at that level. Ole Miss might be the only one.

And Sherman, Kemp, etc., they are all better than what we had. Looking at the transfer class and with Gilbert gone, the only player who hasn’t found themselves in the game is Hood. That’s not a bad hit rate.
