Callahan said it isn't Flores

Fatty McFats Callahan could tell me the sky is blue and I would peek my head out the window just to make sure.

I have no knowledge and was just throwing some names out the, but is Okie Light really going to play 3 QBs this year, none of which are Flores, and then forego all that experience generated to give the job to Flores next year? Or play musical chairs at that position again? I think OSU will see lots of dudes leaving. JMO.

Another poster now has me intrigued with the name they just dropped... Kienholz, QB from tOSU.

Frost/Whipple begrudgingly sticking with that little QB from somewhere in the Northeast over a kid who was in our backyard in Kienholz still baffles me.

what is his connection other than being from a neighboring state? I guess he has a HS teammate on the team (Maciejczak). Ohio St thinks pretty highly of him though - Day has been talking about playing him in four games this year.

Direct snap to the TE, TE end around, 22 personnel with 2 TE at RB, 22 personnel with 5 TEs on the field.

Does taking a TE from the portal mean we can’t take a QB as well.?

Our TE room right now is Fidone, Boerk, Smith-Flores and a bunch of walk-ons. 3 commits and only 1 of those may end up playing TE (if we can keep him in the class) And that’s all with no attrition.

We definitely need a TE or 2 from the portal, preferably a 2nd or 3rd year guy to space numbers out better too.

Rhule playing 4D Chess. Think about it, Haarberg is better suited to be a TE so we are starting a true TE at QB. He learned from Frost's only player development success. Take what should be TE's and convert them to other postions i.e. Cam Jurgens.

We’re never going to get back if we just take guys that can’t get on the field for a great team. Those dudes may add depth, but they don’t win championships. Transfer portal should be about identifying G5 or FCS standouts that are moving up to P5.

I don't think we can be picky about taking athletes at any position on an offense almost entirely devoid of talent. If they're athletic and can block, pass or catch, take them and figure out the rest later.

I'd rather be picky and patient and develop than take dudes who are little more than a bandaid.

Huh? Of course I want good football players. We should’ve told Rouse we’ll pay you more than anyone else is offering. He had a bunch of P5 starts. I’m talking about the kids who aren’t seeing the field at a P5 school that want to transfer here. I’m happy to tell Kaden Helm or the kid from auburn who was at Bell West thanks but no thanks. Had your chance, you’re not playing for them after two years, why should we spend 1/85 on you? Those are the types of portal guys I don’t want to see us taking over HS kids. We shouldn’t be some sloppy seconds safety net for kids who hold an offer out of HS, go somewhere else, don’t see the field, and want back in.
