You have an idea of who will move to A or down to B this next cycle?



I've been told if Nebraska goes to grass, the games will be moved from Memorial Stadium or at least pushed back to after Thanksgiving.

@Alum-Ni On top of this, I noticed that there are teams that have opted down and it shows that they are CEC(Competitive Equity Committee) approved. I assume this means that there is a committee that determines that the team can't compete in their designated class, so they are approved for the lower level and can be eligible for the playoffs at that level? If that is the case, I see where there are some schools that were not CEC approved to opt down like Chase County, Nebraska City, Southern, and Winside. Do you know the committee criteria for this?

It would make most sense, but logistically it would be a nightmare for NSAA staff and NET to broadcast games at both UNK and Memorial Stadium.

Bennington, Elkhorn North, Lincoln Standing Bear and Lincoln Northwest will all move to Class A next year.

I'm not sure if any schools will be joining Class B. South Sioux City potentially may move back down depending on where their enrollment ends up.

I've been also told that NU officials don't have any issue with the NSAA continuing to use the stadium as is after the grass field in installed.....they don't seem to think it will be an issue at all.

21 schools applied for the waiver, nine received one and are playoff eligible. Anyone else that moves down forfeits postseason eligibility.

I just read something online about Fucking Falls City High School petitioning to play 8-Man football next year. That's shocking to me. They will have 120 boys in that high school, but only 23 are expected to go out for Football.

This is a lot of schools right now. I know Cozad has ok numbers, but had 30 kids go out for football and maybe 15 are not complete disasters. Will be interesting to see Lexington as well going forward. The Tyson plant is shutting down and will be interesting to see what happens when a 1/3 of the town leaves.

My goodness. This C2 game is brutal. The wind is absolutely howling. I'm not sure we will see many more punts and there have been a bunch of footballs on the turf, multiple turnovers for each team and a bunch of turnover on downs.
