Skutt/Bennington was a great game. Some questionable officiating last drive against Bennington.

Soon to be 4 time wrestling state champion, Kyler Lauridsen, was the best football player in any class at the state finals. A kid that in most years would probably have a preferred walk on offer to Nebraska but with the new scholarship rules won't get that opportunity.

Aren't you a Sandy Creek alum @Cash68847?
Yes. Brian Shaw couldn’t win it, but it’s nice to see his kid get it done. Brian Shaw’s problem is that that he ran his team ran into Ed Thompson’s Cambridge team and Ninemire was a horrible football coach. I think it will be another two years before they are really good again. The freshman and 8th grade class is suppose to be real good.

Not only best in the state finals, but that might have been the best individual performance I've seen in a high school game.

The penalties suck, that crew was having a great game up to that drive. The missed hold and of course the horse collar. The hurdle was a correct call.

I know why horse collar was missed, no official had a view from behind the play. Both the wing and the white hat were looking through players and couldn't see it.

Bennington threw 3 picks and still almost beat the smug orange haired weirdos

Ed was the best Nebraska athlete I’ve ever seen. Yes, even greater than Green and Frost.

9th and 7th. his youngest is in 7th might be best of them all. the soph is a good lineman too. Sealey will be a starter at qb next year and theyll run the table again til the playoffs

My mom is a Sealey. The kid is her brothers great grandson. I watched them on hudl a couple times this year. I never knew he was freshman until the championship game. He is going to be really good. Im just happy they won so he didn’t have to think about his couple mishaps in the title game for life.

I was at that game. I was in jr high. Ed was a man. Sandy Creek actually had as much talent as them, but Ninemire was a horrible football coach. I’m not saying we would have ever beat that Cambridge team, but if a guy down the road like Gary Deboer was coaching that team it would have been possible. I also like Ninemire as a person and he was a good basketball coach, but he had no business coaching football.

That team would have won class A as well

The 1993 Hastings team who won class A would have definitely whooped the 1993 Cambridge team. The 1994 Cambridge team could possibly compete against some A teams, but I still can’t see a c-2 champion beating a class A champion due to depth.

That was my senior year. By the time playoffs came around we had about 1/4 of our starters out and huge drop offs at those positions. Lost our stud RB in the 2nd or 3rd game. Only lost to Tecumseh in reg season but couldn't compete with any of the playoff teams without him.

Healthy we still get smoked by Cambridge but would have been competitive with any others. The rest of the playoff teams were fairly even. Cambridge might have played with the bottom Class A teams. They weren't beating mediocre ones.

It’s even hard for Kearney to win a class A championship. They got one under Cool and came close around 5-10 years ago, but they didn’t have the depth on the lines. A lot of them guys had to play both ways and by late in the 4th quarter they lost the game because of it. Class A needs to do something with the transfer rules too so teams can’t stack rosters.

Most of a C2 roster doesn't come off the field. Offense, Defense and special teams.

You have no idea how good they were and how good he was. He did what he wanted
