the Are You Garbage boys have a really good bit on if you use the windshield cleaner at a gas station to clean things on your car other than windows.

We're on hurricane watch right there with you. The wife and I are supposed to fly to Tampa on Thursday, Sept 29th. Driving down to Sarasota and staying with my brother in Karen Cay for a week. Not real confident this is going to happen given the current situation.

Little leery on this one. This storm reminds me of Hurricane Charley. Be the first hurricane Ive been through with kids. (Autistic 5 yr old and 3.5 yr old) Can’t get too liquored up.
Back in 2004 we thought Charley was going to hit Tampa as a Cat 2. Nope it made landfall down by Boca Grande as a fucking 4! We got off work at noon, Friday the 13th. Stepdad and me loaded up on beer. Cool, get the weekend started early. It was all fun n games till the wind snapped four hickory trees on the side of my parents house like toothpicks! Had sustained winds between 120-130 mph. No power for 9 days and very little supplies the first few days. One of our vendors scored us a pallet of generators out of Georgia around day 4. Them first 3 days were absolute hell.
Moral of this story, be fucking prepared!

Follow up question since you would know way better than me - should I cancel anyways? I don’t want to be out 4K but I also don’t want to put the family in danger. It would also suck to fly there and then they decide to put the county in a state of emergency so I’m trapped in a hotel room with two toddlers all week

I guess I misspoke, Disney told us we could refund or go to Disney Land instead. The hotel/resort is the one that won’t refund us. It was the most expensive part though haha. Maybe I’ll try the lawyer technique

I'd definitely try for a different date if that's possible. They won't have this storm dialed in for a couple more days and landfall could be 100 miles off of their predictions. If it comes in south Tampa its going to be a shitshow for us and Orlando. (Disney is 30 miles from my house)

No, they won’t let us do anything. Not very happy with Swan and Dolphin
