before this season I made a list of local lakes that I get cell service at. I wasn’t going to let Frost ruin another weekend where I could be fishing. My new favorite past time is listening to Matty bemoan in the radio. This Saturday might be the icing on the cake.

I went with a lost creek 4. It’s the store brand for Sportsmans warehouse made by fish cat. I like it except I’ve broken both zippers already.

I got my driver's license renewed today. That would normally just be a routine visit to the DMV. Who am I kidding, there's nothing routine about a DMV visit. The rules for seniors are tougher as they require a vision test and written test every 5 years and no renewing online. I must have taken 40 DMV practice tests just to make sure. My clerk went through all the paperwork and hands me a slip of paper that was my temporary license and says to go get my picture taken and I'll get my license in 2 weeks in the mail.
Being the honest person I am (and to avoid future hassles) I asked what about the written test? He looked at his checklist and said nope, you're done. How 'bout that?
Nothing much had changed at the physical location in terms of the clientele. It still looks like the international terminal at LAX.

One of the worst places in the world to go. Although last couple times I've gone have been much better. Think a lot more people learned how to do it online or through the drop box from covid days.

I’ll just get a zipper replacement kit. I plan on buying a new one next summer so the girlfriend can come with. I’ll probably just take the new one for myself.

Sounds like a terrible idea to bring the girlfriend fishing. I'd probably have to break up with the woman if she liked to fish or golf. When do you get away?

Oh she wouldn’t want to go very often. I work part time on the weekends during the summer so I mainly fish during the week.
