Nothing makes me happier than seeing Omaha posters freak out when @TraditionCoalition and @jw3 refer to Bennington as Western Nebraska. It just makes me so happy that people still react.

There was an epic thread on RSS a few years ago asking where Western Nebraska begins. The usual comments like North Platte, Ogallala, Lexington, etc. and I said Elkhorn. The meltdown was glorious.

I'm splitting hairs here, but I would say Hershey/Sutherland.

Also, anyone that truly thinks York or even Aurora are in Central Nebraska should be shipped off to gulags in Cockeye or Missouri.

10th & Dodge to GI = Eastern NE
GI to Sutherland = Central NE
Paxton to Henry = Western NE

It’s Paxton because they’re the first town west of the time zone line…….😎

I think we decided as a group that actual western Nebraska was west of Lake Mac, Central Neb was everything between that and Grand Island or Aurora and Eastern Neb was everything east of there.

But we like making maps
