I don't know why I'm so sad. Never knew the man. He never coached a team I rooted for. Just a terrible, terrible loss for football.

This is my thought exactly. I am legitimately SAD. One of the very few "Never met the guy" deaths that have affected me like that.

This sucks. Coach Leach was a national treasure. There will never be another man or coach like him. I’m really torn up by this.

Mike Leach was absolutely a bright light in college football and the world in general. There will never be another one like him and I'm not ashamed to say I am extremely sad that this is the way he goes out. He deserved to coach until he didn't want to anymore, and then die at sea

I'll miss one of the few coaches on the planet that isn't beholden to coach speak.

When the B10 network tries to be cute and ask those dolts something funny, none of them can pull it off. A bunch of socially inept dudes that only know football.
