Mike Leach airlifted to hospital?

Just to add to all the thoughts on Leach. The one thing about him is that you absolutely did not want to ever play one of his teams. Once his offense got going they were pretty much impossible to stop. He didn’t always have the best talent, but incredibly dangerous . Especially those Tech teams towards the end.

You mean like 70-10 beatdowns?

I had just bought a new car and met my brother in Jacksonville FL for a watch party for that game. He booked a hotel room.

Long story short, we slept in my car in the parking lot and brother vomited in my car with <100 miles on the odometer. I'm not sure if he had to pay for the hotel or not.

Somehow, TTU had already lost two games that season but still put it on NU.

It was awesome seeing Leach's offense torch that dipshit Panini in his LSU DC debut for over 600 yards. So many taters thought Panini would be great at LSU....little did those taters know that the game had passed that idiot by.

Thanks Coach Leach. CFB will not be the same without him.

I think it's hard to see someone who clearly loved what he did so much go out this early. He had so much left to give
He did and now everybody is telling stories and sharing videos on social media. Just makes me sad to lose someone that is so unique and happens to be unique in the world that I love to follow.

He was just one of a kind. When you look at how football is played now and how it is coached. There are very, very few teams at the college, NFL and high school level that either their offense or defense (or both) are designed based on something Mike Leach helped innovate. Just a huge influence on the most popular sport in America and yet never took himself so seriously that he wasn't approachable.

I don't know why I'm so sad. Never knew the man. He never coached a team I rooted for. Just a terrible, terrible loss for football.

I never wanted to know a world where Mike Leach wasn’t coaching football or around it in some capacity. But here we are.

Very sad day. Prayers for his family and his close friends.
