Yeah that parts fun for a day or two
Yea my little cousin who's about to turn three asked his babysitter the other day "Bitch, are you coming to my birthday party?" His dad was picking him up at the time and about @died on the spot.

Anyone have kids that needed ear tubes? My daughter is getting them Monday morning. I'm not worried about it but was curious if anyone had any experience with it?
I had them when I was a kid and I turned out mostly ok. But seriously they really helped I would get earaches so bad that my whole ear was beet red, the doctors thought I had lost some of my hearing but luckily there was no damage.

You should be happy. It definitely helps with ear infections. After my one son got them it drastically cut down on the infections.

I wouldnt sweat it too much yet. I was always told anywhere from a year to 3 years. 18 months and saying a few words is solid. Just keep working with him on it.
Yep my son was slower on speaking - he understood a lot, but said very few to no words until up until after his 2nd birthday.

The pediatrician recommended speech therapy when he hit 2 (which we did for a couple months and I think helped a little), but he also just naturally started using more words and is now caught up and chatty.

Definitely get the worry - I felt the same way - but I don’t think you necessarily have anything to worry about yet as it seems like there’s a spectrum of what’s normal on this front.
Thanks for the replies. I naturally have pretty high anxiety about things that are out of my control, and of course when you start reading about speech delays the internet will basically convince you it’s autism spectrum disorder. Now I’ve read too much and just find myself hyper analyzing every action of a 1.5 year old, which I’m horribly unqualified to do.

Trying to just not worry about it and just enjoy the ways which he obviously is developing and growing. He did get bit by another kid at daycare for the first time today so I’m sure that was exciting for him.

Honestly whichever ear she has it in gets beet red right at bed time for a little while

I hope the tubes help her like they did for me. I was little but I still remember having to the doctor all the time for my ears and then after the tubes I don't remember getting any earaches or ear infections again.
