Who? We had a bunch of defenders leave because their DC & position coach left but not too many left to get more money elsewhere..If that's the plan we're not very good at it considering all the players we've developed who have left for more money

That's a pretty shortsighted comment. I mean, it's almost like you're looking for the negatives. If that's the plan we're not very good at it considering all the players we've developed who have left for more money
I'm not even arguing that, I just don't think what you've described is "the plan" at all. We pay out to a lot of unproven freshmen lol. I don't even know what you're arguing. That "We save some for retaining players too"? Or "they can earn more after they've developed and they are better players"? These are true at literally every schoolThat's a pretty shortsighted comment. I mean, it's almost like you're looking for the negatives.
What about the much larger number of players who have stayed? You don't think Shavers, Barney, Keona Davis, Lenhardt, McGahee, Railoa, Nelson, Van Poppel, etc., etc. didn't have offers sliding into their DMs? Rhule has mentioned multiple times how his players are getting contacted all the time. We know we stepped up and outbid a suiter for Davis.
But no, the plan is failing beacuse "all the players" have left for more money. 🙄 It may seem like we're always on the losing side because we hear about 100% of the players that leave. We don't hear about the players who have been incentivised to stay over taking other offers elsewhere. Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it's not happening. Yeah, we've lost a few players. But overall, I'd say the retention play is working pretty well.
I thought Haverford was a school for "special" people.College Sports Commission has turned to the most influential alumni base in American sports, the Haverford College baseball program, in selecting John Bramlette to lead operations and NIL enforcement.

I think Rhule has been pretty open about "the plan." Of course we pay freshman something. We're competative. But we obviously have a limit to that and when its surpassed we say so long, like we just did to Thomas. Just like we told Charmar Brown that we're not going to pay him more than we do our starter, EJ.I'm not even arguing that, I just don't think what you've described is "the plan" at all. PreachLosing James Williams and Stephon Thompson aren’t loses and, other than the OSU game, Butler didn’t do much last year either.
The good kind of special. Your son probably could’ve gotten in with that ACT score.I thought Haverford was a school for "special" people.
If you graduated from Haverford, good chance you are making a fuck ton of moneyThe good kind of special. Your son probably could’ve gotten in with that ACT score.
Yeah, I beat the odds on that one. But I did just find out a guy we partied with in college is now worth $6.4B after his company IPO.If you graduated from Haverford, good chance you are making a fuck ton of money
If you need a seed investment for a start up, you’ve found your man. The couple haverford grads I know are extremely successfulYeah, I beat the odds on that one. But I did just find out a guy we partied with in college is now worth $6.4B after his company IPO.
I mean Syracuse hasn’t won much has meh facilities and just got a five star WR from Miami and has a pretty good class.Win games.
Out of curiosity, how old are they? If we attended around the same time there’s a pretty solid chance we know each other. I was class of 08 for reference. If you need a seed investment for a start up, you’ve found your man. The couple haverford grads I know are extremely successful
Fran is coming off a 10-3 season and was a monster recruiter. Worked for Rhule, Smart, Addazio, Diaz and Schiano all which have great things to teach and learn from and was part of a national championship win.I mean Syracuse hasn’t won much has meh facilities and just got a five star WR from Miami and has a pretty good class.
Yee. Point is that we seemingly don’t have this level of recruiters. Which isn’t really a surprise when we’ve got Barth and Satt as full time assistants.Fran is coming off a 10-3 season and was a monster recruiter. Syracuse could become good and fast.
But I’ve been told recruiters don’t matter any more becuase everyone just goes to the highest bidder.Yee. Point is that we seemingly don’t have this level of recruiters. Which isn’t really a surprise when we’ve got Barth and Satt as full time assistants.
80s or 90s would be my guess, both speak glowingly about their time thereOut of curiosity, how old are they? If we attended around the same time there’s a pretty solid chance we know each other. I was class of 08 for reference.
I dont see him sticking it out there for too long. Hes going to be the hottest name on the market this summer with another solid season. Syracuse doesn't exactly seem to take football serious either. I could see him getting a big time job really quickly.Fran is coming off a 10-3 season and was a monster recruiter.
