Sooners Regaining Momentum for Key OL Target?

A player that many had started to write off some time ago is Logan (Cockeye) Logan-Magnolia offensive lineman Grant Brix. The nation’s No. 2 interior offensive lineman, according to the Tater Island Industry rankings, seemed high on the Sooners at several points but Oklahoma seemed to have lost momentum following visits to Kansas State, Nebraska, and Alabama.
The Tide aren’t seen as a real contender at this point largely because of proximity to home. In fact that was seen as the reality that would hurt Oklahoma in his recruitment. Brix would choose to stay closer to home with Nebraska or Kansas State.
However over the last 10 days or so the Sooners seem to be making a move and there is some confidence around Norman that Brix’s relationship with Bill Bedenbaugh and Jerry Schmidt could be big for Oklahoma.
“He loves (Bedenbaugh) and Schmidt and I think he’s starting to realize that if you’re going to excel as an offensive lineman, those are the two staff members on any campus you need to feel good about,” a source said.
Is that enough? It’s hard to be sure of anything with Brix but there is some momentum.
Brix seems to have no timeline for his choice but he’s definitely worth keeping an eye on as Oklahoma continues to battle with the Huskers and Wildcats.
Maybe the reason we are pursuing Baker again?

Personally, I doubt this from things I heard before but tbh I certainly can't rule it out. Brix is built more like a classic OT but I have no idea if he is as athletic as Baker. (Caveat - Baker has an impressive 83" wingspan, and Brix arm's are just very slightly less than the average length of the arms of NFL tackles)

Reading the vagueness of the OU article shouldn’t cause much concern IMO. There wasn’t anything remotely concrete, or even giving anything other than just generalized “momentum”. Sounds like the writer’s overweight wife shouted “Grant’” when his tiny dick slipped out, and that little turtle head poked through her sphincter, so he decided to chalk that up as a sign..

actually OU is having very little success recruiting OL. I am not sure why. 13 OL took OVs to OU, only one has committed (a second is a likely commit).

Three of this year's projected 5 starting OL are actually from the portal.

OU fans have been saying it's time to get rid of Bedenbaugh.

Rhule continues to impress and surprise me with his recruiting, Brix=N.

They were freaking out a few weeks ago when a Norman kid on the oline chose KU over them because they came in with their offer late. OU definitely feels some pressure with their ol recruiting right now.
