Dvoracek has 3 commits all time associated with his name via 247. 2 as primary 1 as secondary. His 3 commits are from: Omaha, Omaha, Kansas.

Shorts is WR - I said ON THE DEFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL. Simpson, sure and already agreed. Mozee - again defensive side of the ball was the question, I've always read him as a primarily offensive focused guy and just ties to StL. DiMichele, agree with you. Don - again, defensive side of the ball is the question.

We ain't got the recruiters on D people think we do...
I just said we had A+ recruiters on staff. You're right, maybe not many on D if any. That's needs to be figured out. How many D coordinators are truly A+ recruiters tho? Also have to think about cross recruiters as well. Mozee got us the #8 de from last year and helped with flipping our biggest lb recruit. Just take a deep breath.

I think questioning the hire is reasonable, based off what we know. Rhule himself said that there was a ton of interested parties in the job. Why did he say that?
So he could say that his choice was better than the (good) alternatives. Probably also because it was likely true - there probably was a lot of interest from qualified candidates

Missing anything here?
foley won't be the STC in 2025

I'll just ask again the question I asked in the hot board thread - Is he better than White? Is he an upgrade at the position?
Rhule obviously thought so, and he apparently played them off against one another all fall.

We had some good defensive performances. We also had some terrible ones. I had great seats for watching the first half of the UCLA game, for example.

Im just really curious what led Rhule to believe that he needed to bring outside guys in to tinker with the defense after 2023. It was the only part of his team that worked.

You guys love to bitch man.

Why was Tony White some Godsend and Butler is chopped liver? It’s not like White was some super experienced DC. Rhule has had good defenses everywhere he has been. I don’t expect that to change.

I like that Snow will be there and I definitely like hiring someone from the Chiefs that has been coaching one of the better D-Lines in the NFL the last several years.

I think I like it more knowing how many of you are freaking out.
D-line coaching has always been more about the Jimmys and the joes. The reason KC is bad ass on defense has a lot to do with Chris Jones being a special talent. The big reason we were good at stopping the run was due to having some good experienced interior d lineman more than anything.

Not this guy…

I'm in the minority but I don't have a problem with this. Would I have preferred a big name? Yes, but I'm intrigued by how great those secondaries were under Butler in Buffalo. And IMO Snow being brought on softens it a little bit. Snow will have a lot to do with the defense.

About 99% of the board disagrees with me, but I have no problem with this. Wasn't on my list of wants, but those may not have been real options. I think Butler is qualified, Rhule saw it first hand this fall.

I would like to see the Foley situation addressed.
Much more comfortable with this since Phil Snow is also on staff to help him. Butler is not stupid, just inexperienced.

Just once instead of hearing about how much money we have I would like to hear about how broke we are because went out and hired the best coaches and brought in the best players with it instead.

I realize Rhule wants to be a developmental school for coaches and players. But with as many coaching positions that are available now and especially at a school like Nebraska the top coaching positions should always be filled with the best of the best and the secondary positions on down can be filled with the developmental guys. As for the players the 105 has tied his hands on how many developmental players he will be able to carry on the roster now and in the future.
