I haven’t been able to finish a round at Benson yet. It plays so fucking slow that I always make it through 16, see two groups standing on 17 tee box, realize I’ve already been there for over 4 hours and leave.Had to take advantage of the weather and get out for a round yesterday. 83 at Benson with a 7 and 8 on the front 9. I’ll take it
I’ve had similar experiences there. Back 9 seems to have more holes where you can lose balls, so maybe people spend too much time looking and hold things upI haven’t been able to finish a round at Benson yet. That's why I'm leaning towards not doing it.Need to learn how to cover a golf ball- hard step probably won’t help much imho.
Fix your swing bro. That's why I'm leaning towards not doing it.
Don’t forget that I met @God is a Husker via golf in high school. Probably my most enjoyable/funniest tournament I ever played.Who other than Lee and I think @Link- played golf in high school/college?
Been working on it. Hard with 4 kidsFix your swing bro.
Hogan PtxPros is what I ended on. Tried them out last year and loved them. Thought hard about getting the t200s. But I’m basically replacing my whole bag and the cost started to get too steep for my poor assWhat irons you getting?
Fwiw I do the same thing-positive swing path and flip it.
Drink more beer when you’re playing then and who GAFBeen working on it. Hard with 4 kids
thats not how golf worksDrink more beer when you’re playing then and who GAF
What? You care more when you drink beer?thats not how golf works
Thats the only way golf works for me anymore. All I do is scrambles a few times a year. If I'm walking by the end of 18 I consider that a successful day.thats not how golf works
I've never done it, but I don't have super high clubhead speed anymore at 42. When I was younger I played heavier shafts to help lower my ball flight, 135g's.Sold my set of clubs today. Got 10 years out of those babies that I got on the cheap thanks to a Dick's employee only code shared on tMB.
Got fitted awhile back, wanted to get it done for awhile now, just never got around to it. Going to order my new irons tonight. Question for some of the more seasoned golfers @lee_carvallo_12 Thoughts on hard-stepping? At the fitting they recommended X-stiff shaft and said I could also hard-step my irons as well to help bring the ball down. Basically, I hit moon shots, like 150 foot apex with a 7 iron.

Like others have said, though, you gotta get more shaft lean at impact (hands forward of clubhead at impact) to lower ball flight. @#HBD does this better than any iron player I have seen and he hits 7 irons that come out at eyelevel.
let's face it, though, you couldn't get that new stealth driver over my head at 200 yards let alone a mountain like Jack "Hammer" Hamm.
That stealth plus driver is taking the place of my ole butter knife 1 iron.let's face it, though, you couldn't get that new stealth driver over my head at 200 yards let alone a mountain like Jack "Hammer" Hamm.
