Used to go there when they played The International there. Beautiful course. I’m glad they grew the rough long, otherwise they would tear the course apart. Greens also look lightening quick!

To me fast greens are just a hell of a lot more fun. I'm also a "die it in the hole" putter and don't like to hit puts hard.

Funny related story. I was playing as a guest down at Silverleaf a while back (nicer course down in Scottsdale. Lando Norris and the owner of McLaren were in front of us) and the greens were fast and firm, running about a 12. I was talking to superintendent about how good the greens were and he told me I should've been here a couple months earlier when they were running at 14. I ask him why in the world did you have them that fast? His response, "we had to get our members ready for the Masters."

Fast greens in general will roll more true as opposed to slow greens. Generally, once you get your ball on line on a smooth and fast green, it will hold its line compared to a slow green.

Exactly this. Much much preferable to slow, shaggy greens IMO...acclimate to the pace needed and commit to your line, a lot easier to develop some consistency and get into a good rhythm.
