Golf Thread

How’s the course? Decent? Was thinking of calling up and requesting a tee time.
Greens are the speed and firmness of my garage floor, which I think is awesome.

Some guy in a group golf trip text who HBD and I don’t know was saying he was gonna try and call them up and see if they’d doing reciprocals with his podunk NW Arkansas course. Said he might see if his pro would call them up.

+/- 40 putts?

Sounds like someone needs new wedges 😉
You're not wrong there. Try to change every two years, if not sooner. By that time grooves are about gone. I'm at the end of my second season with the three callaway jaws wedges I have.

But let me tell you, greens were US open firm by Saturday afternoon.

It is pretty crazy how short wedge's life span. Seems the shortest of all clubs, no?

And I believe it about SH's greens being US open firm. They've never been *that* quick when I've been there, but as weird as it sounds, you felt like they had the potential to be much quicker and firmer. More than other places.

Wedges are the only clubs I won't buy used. Have to have fresh, new, sharp grooves.

SH has such great sandy turf they can get it basically as firm as they want it. I don't think they can make the greens crazy fast due to the slopiness and the wind blowing 15+ every day.

It was tough sledding out there. What a place

Kyle does a great job presenting one of the best surfaces in America. He could have any job he wants at this point, SH is very lucky to have him.

Have you tried the DG spinner wedge shaft?
