I’ve now settled my upcoming year’s expectations at about 4 wins. That blows hairy bunghole. But, is what it is. At least we have men’s basketball…er baseball…uh Volleball.

So…someone, anyone, everyone…take off the negative hat for one moment…3 things that we do have in play and that can happen this season that give you real hope that we can win 8, attend a respectable bowl game, and see some glimmer of hope.

I believe we have better offensive coaches for the most part, and special teams will be better by default. The third thing would be an easier schedule this year. Having said the that I’ll be surprised if we get to 8 wins.

Reasons for hope: easier schedule.

I think that a new QB/OC and offensive system could be a reason for hope or a complicating factor that inhibits progress. It's not easy to make that transition and hit the ground running. There will be growing pains but maybe they turn the corner.

That said I think the ceiling is 6 wins and they come in at 4 or 5.

Agreed. 8 seems like the top of the mountain. Can only hope the offense comes together and the ST doesn‘t hurt us this year. Those two things alone would have meant 5 mor wins last year.

Came looking for hope, left with a reality check.

Don’t ever underestimate Nebraska’s ability to fuck up special teams under Frost. Just look at the new all-world punter in the spring game.

“Buschini had eight punts for 322 yards and averaged 40.2 yards. He started off the game with a 63-yard bomb that earned a loud ovation from the crowd. His numbers decreased followed it up with a 49-yarder and then a 29-yarder and a 14-yarder.”
