Breaking Garret McGuire WR Coach

Also did you fucksticks forget Pelini hired a fucking golf pro at wr? And he was pretty decent

Not successful at all.
Was fired from idaho and left coaching. That was his only full time assistant stint before coming to Nebraska

He coached under Frank Cable at Idaho from 2000 to 2003. Frank Cable was fired at the end of the 2003 season and replaced by Nick Holt for a year. So, Fisher was basically let go because of a coaching change. It's hard to get people to coach at Idaho outside of Dennis Ericson.

And don't try and say this an acceptable hire for a place like Nebraska, this would be a joke anywhere in D1

My question to you oh McGuire is how is it going to go recruiting a 4 star WR out of Alabama or a receiver out of CA or OH. His name means nothing there. I hope I'm wrong but I imagine we are hiring a new WR coach in a couple years

Obviously an outlier, but who knows....

You think black kids won’t listen to a guy that coached for the Carolina Panthers because he’s young and white?
I wouldn't say won't listen to him because he's young and white. I would say it's because he has zero experience at WR position or in position coaching in general. Again I hope I'm wrong but I don't really see a way this works out. Hope this gets bumped in 5 years and I look like a idiot

Rhule's staff is going to have to figure out how to own that inexperience and convince recruits that they're better off in Lincoln than elsewhere. He's taken some big gambles on the staff and it seems implausible that all of them hit
