Frost/Raiola Rumor Debunked

Both the rumors could be true and both could be false. I do find it hard to believe they came up with 600k for Ochaun but couldn't find 3 mil for the #1 qb with Nebraska ties. Could be that OSU offered 3 mil and Nebraska was asked to match. Donors didn't want to get in a bidding war with OSU because they knew they'd lose. Frost didn't show up for rhe meeting because he didn't have the money to match.

I will tell you my insider is close (as in friends) with this booster and NIL. I don’t need you to believe. Just passing on solid info.

If you realllly stop and think about it this makes much more sense than a guy who was, is and will be a coach for life not showing up for a meeting with a high profile recruit due to booze

My insider is also close with a former player (one everyone loved and is an nfl guy) that is close to frost and back when the rumors were flying about frosts wife leaving him and being in Florida, said former player went by frosts and was chit chatting and frost said when he pulled up “I’m just hanging out here while my wife is in Florida with the kids” (while his wife was standing right next to him). Frost obviously was hearing the bs and making a mockery of it

If Frost really has been struggling with booze the last few years like many have suggested he might be, it's not that far fetched. Steve Sarkesian also had trouble dealing with life as a HC at a blue blood program and turned to alcohol. These things happen.

You said the info came from NIL. That is ABM/Gerrod. The university can't be involved with NIL as it has to be an outside entity. I don't believe coaches are supposed to be guiding or steering the players either.

I wasn't the one who was privy to the liquored up Frost information but that poster said they had someone who was at the Raiola's when the phone conversations happened. I've just heard enough "Drunk Frost" stories that I believe he was drunk over what NIL/Gerrod and a booster said. Especially if the booster is a TC'er. And as for Drunk Frost stories I have not seen it personally but 2 of my cousins have been there first hand to witness his partying, and more than just once. They are actually big Frost Fans so no way they are making it up in hopes of making him look bad as they fall in the Potato Category that has supported him the last 2 seasons thinking "he just needs more time".

The only thing that I know to be factual about Dylan was that NIL was always going to play a huge factor into where he was going to play college football. That’s straight from his baseball coach.

I don't know if we will ever know because of how NIL is set up. The NIL companies like ABM are private entities and even if the schools knew I doubt they could share the financial information without the players consent. I think all we can go off of is boosters talking when it comes to players like Thompson & Mathis. In my ABM/Gerrod battles with Pimp-Master Dean when he was at Rivals he claimed that 4-5+ players made 6 figures off of NIL. I think it was mentioned that Martinez made the most at it was around $180,000. The numbers that were biunced around on message boards and by boosters were pretty substantial for Thompson & Mathis. I want to say Thompson was in the million plus category. I think they hooked him with housing and a sweet ride plus some serious coin. I was told that they thought the total was around $600,000 for Mathis. Thats seems about right for one of the leading pass rushers in the Big 12.
