NSFW Franchise Corch

I'm not looking at opening anything at the moment, but I've always had my eye on the building next to D'Le's for a food/coffee place. I think they tried to open a drive through grocery store or something there like 7 years ago but it never got off the ground. I used to live at the links and wear a suit every day, then I bought a house in the highlands so I drive by there all the time. The right business in that place would crush IMO. Hell, the flea infested subway has been around since I've lived on this side of town.

Sandhills?

It was a coffee shop and a cleaners years ago before the drive thru grocery.

The Scooters in Fallbrook is packed pretty much all day and afternoon.

Weird stuff has been happening there lately. A bunch of grey hairs stay up late last night and was driving golf carts around in the freezing cold. Nice btw

That's weird. Every time I drive by the gates are closed.

Yessir. I didn't know it was a coffee shop at one point though and failed miserably. Thanks, dreamcrusher.

I'm sorry both for crushing your dreams and working at Sandhills. I figured Sandhills would crush you enough, sorry to pile on.

I worked at Sandhills for 7+ years, sucked badly.

Apology accepted and RIP to your dreams as well. Such an odd place. Changed a lot when SP took the reigns.

I can imagine, I've heard it's getting worse, but I can't imagine how that was possible since my time there. He just graduated college when I was there. It changed quickly when he started out in TractorHouse, but quickly had his nose in everything.

Yea, power trip all day every day. Got especially bad with covid. Had a number of people fired in March/April of 2020 just to flex on the rest of the company because he thought people were getting lazy. Really weird deal.

The shitty thing is is that I've thought about thinking about (not actively thinking about, just thought about thinking about) looking at opening a few different franchises in Northwest Lincoln. So I have questions and I'd like to learn more but the guy comes across as super penisy and I get the feeling that I'd have to pay him for any questions I'd have. There are a couple spots in the Highlands that would absolutely crush it with a variety of stores IMO.

With that said, kudos to him for bucking up and coming back for more despite all the shit he gets on there.
There’s other franchisecorches out there. I had a female one who was actually kind of hot cold message me on LinkedIn asking if I have ever thought about starting a franchise lol

The sandhills stuff cracks me up. Know the family and always wondered how it was there

If anyone has connections to the coffee shop mafia known as Scooters, or knows a damn thing about running a coffee shop let's partner on the first tPB business.

I have a build site available and will only skim enough off the top to NIL sponsor Lexi's OnlyFans account.

We bought our home 7 years ago from their Marketing person. They moved "back home" to Valentine and bounced back to our neighborhood six months later. I think they simply own a couple of franchises at this point, but I can point you their direction for a conversation.

@Daddy as with most franchises that already have locations in the area there is a very likely chance the rights to any future flags in the area are already owned by somebody. The rights to franchise are typically long term option contracts. (deal with it all the time in Hotels) Often times the rights holder has a period of years where they have to build (commit) or they lose their rights in the flag and then corporate will sell them again. You can find out who the current owner is and buy it from them or form a partnership, or just wait for the option to sunset and get it from corporate.

Also you have to consider the exclusivity zone rights that come with the franchise. Example: can't be another Hampton for a 2 mile radius around my property. I assume JJ's would be similar so you would need to check distance to another franchise.

**Be Aware** You might also run into rights owners who have no intention on developing, they just want to restrict the market. Usually they own other businesses and don't want it cannibalized. I have found these rights owners typically refuse to sell and you have to wait for their option to sunset. On the inverse, I have found owners who simply don't have the capital to develop are typically willing to sell. They fully planned on developing but something happened and yada yada yada just haven't been able to do it yet/can't do it anymore.

PS: You want my free advice? If you're gonna try and bring a franchise to a city like Lincoln (tons of franchises) get something thats not there yet. (especially if its food) Example: for the life of me I don't understand why there isn't a Waffle House somewhere close to Downtown Lincoln. Low overhead, tons of cash flow.

McCook finally got a Scoots a month ago and they had an article in the Newspaper about how 1 of the founders of Scooters is from Culbertson. (town of ~500 people thats 10 miles west of McCook)

My wife has been so happy to have it, its been 3 years since we lived in a town that had any coffee place. (let alone a drive thru)
