He may end up being a quality back. But I don't see a lot of reason to be excited. There are other backs that I'd much rather have. Hell, Section Morrison is a higher rated transfer...
I mean, is he better than what we got?

Frankly after 3-9 im just surprised we are top of the list for some of these guys. That’s why i’m excited. I fully expected this offseason to be a swing and a miss shit show
Texas A&M was loaded at RB, i’ll take a backup from them all day. Not to mention we really wanted this guy out of HS

I don't care about high school. There is a long list of kids we really wanted out of high school that have gone on to do absolutely nothing. I'm more interested right now. Regardless of the depth at aTm, that means nothing about him. He isn't rated all that highly in the portal and who else is even interested in him? Those are the factors that I value.
Again, he may end up being great. But nothing so far gives me reason to be excited.

If we were counting on this guy to be our day 1 starter id question it. But we need depth badly at RB

They need the guy who can come in and be the day-one starter. Who on the roster now is the man? I wouldn’t take anyone at RB that I didn’t think could start the 1st game next year.
A portal RB will have used up their only free transfer. This kid will probably eat up a scholarship for three years whether he plays or not.

So wanted to see what the carnage was from black Monday and then make a move.

So being behind quality RBs makes him a quality RB? I don't get it. It's okay to question moves and decisions the staff makes. They have made a lot of improvements this off-season and their is legitimate reason to be optimistic...but they aren't batting thousand. A RB who literally has negative production, is not rated highly and doesn't appear to have a lot of teams after him doesn't seem to be a reason to be excited...

Nobody is saying that. But maybe he’s worth a shot? Nebraska was interested in him coming out of high school.
