Probably kinda like this. There was a point in time within the last decade that I paid attention to absolutely nothing in the offseason. Didn't actually think anyone did, didn't know message boards existed. I think it was 2016 the last time I remember it. I can't remember who we played honestly but I remember it was a bad loss, and I was shocked. I remember thinking while watching "What the fuck? We're Nebraska, we don't lose to teams like this."


2001, on the way home from the natty loss to Miami. I was 9 I think. I remember looking out the window of my dad's truck and thinking "it's fine. We're Nebraska. We'll be back. We always are" lol probably the same thing Putin has been thinking the last few years preparing for this. "We're Russia, they have no chance."

My idea is that because they spend so much time thinking about the past and the old way of doing things, honoring the old guard, keeping old traditions, listening to old voices.... it has just made them unable to evolve and has allowed even lesser programs/nations with less resources and less capabilities......but fresh ideas.....not only pass them by, but also embarrass them.

Yeah, where I think Frost had Putin beat honestly, but it just didn't work for opinionated reasons. Putin isn't exactly trying new school things with old school Russian philosophy. Frost atleast tried the new school offense with the old school Nebraska philosophy. Now, knowing what we know, formula looks great on paper, but I don't think it was implemented quite correctly scheme wise.
