New Commit DANE KEY IS N (but mostly ‘husker great’ talk)

Their concern about his fidelity is heart warming. Just a bunch of guys that really want to see a young couple make it.

And if you think about this from a logical standpoint, and from a former athlete perspective as well; second semester she’s going to have zero time as softball will be starting and it’ll go into June. He’s going to also have spring football. Then into the summer they’ll have time to see each other. But then in the fall he’s going to also have zero time. So even if they were on the same campus how much time would they truly have? I guarantee you that part of Dane’s NIL deal is plane tickets for her to come see him play.

They’ve done this for 3 years now.

But more importantly, none of them give a shit. They just are upset that he’s not gonna play hut hut there.

Yeah. Apparently fidelity is a concern when he went to Nebraska and it wasn’t when he was in Lexington.

Bottom line, and as our boy Tim put it: It’s no fun when the rabbit is the one with the gun.

1800+ receiving yards in 3 years

Would put him 7th all time on the Nebraska career yards list behind

Stanley Morgan
Kenny Bell
JD Spielman
Johnny Rodgers
Nate Swift
Jordan Westerkamp

I’d take anyone of those guys right now
Can us Husker fans all mutually agree Irving Fryar is the greatest Husker wideout of all time to get it over with?

Can't forgive him for taking the money and throwing the '83 Orange Bowl. Broke my 10year old heart. Then years later I found out he was o. The take and broke my heart all over again. Fuck that dude
The Jet had his problems and is no saint but Fryar is/was a grade A POS. Domestic violence against a pregnant wife. Becomes a man of the cloth, only to commit fraud, real Christ like there irving

Pro career yes. College career no

I consider the Jet to be more WR than WB. Only an idiot wouldn’t take him over Fryar
Fryar's college career caused him to be the No. 1 overall draft pick. Pretty solid resume point, even for a school with such storied wide receiver tradition as Nebraska. Only trumped by the Jet's Heisman.

That last sentence is insane, that’s not the only thing trumping him.

Hell here is his legacy section from wiki:
In 1999, Rodgers was selected to the Nebraska All-Century Football Team via fan poll and named to the All-Century Nebraska football team by Gannett News Service. In 2000, he was voted the University of Nebraska's "Player of the Century" by Sports Illustrated. In 2002, he was named to the Athlon Sports Nebraska All-Time Team. He is one of only sixteen Cornhuskers to have his jersey retired by the team.

In 1999, Rodgers was selected as a receiver by Sports Illustrated in their "NCAA Football All-Century Team". Other receivers selected were Jerry Rice, Mike Ditka, Pat Richter, Tim Brown, Raghib Ismail, Don Hutson, Bennie Oosterbaan, Howard Twilley, Ted Kwalick, Anthony Carter, Keith Jacksonand Desmond Howard. Rodgers was one of six Nebraska Cornhuskers on this All-Century Team 85 man roster; the others being Rich Glover, Dave Rimington, Dean Steinkuhler, Tommie Frazier and Aaron Taylor

In 1999, Rodgers was selected as a starting receiver to the Walter Camp Football Foundation College Football All Century Team. Other receivers selected were Fred Biletnikoff, Tim Brown, Bernie Oosterbaan, Larry Kelley, Raghib Ismail, Don Hutson, Howard Twilley and Keith Jackson. Rodgers was one of six Nebraska Cornhuskers selected to this 83 man roster; the others being Rimington, Steinkuhler, Will Shields, Frazier and Taylor.

On the College Football News list of the 100 Greatest Players of All-Time, Johnny Rodgers was ranked #44. In 2007, he was ranked #23 on ESPN's Top 25 Players In College Football History list. In 2000 Johnny Rodgers was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and was also voted the "Most Valuable Player" in the history of the Big Eight.

Rodgers also remains a legend north of the border in Montreal. The Alouettes honored him with a special homecoming on September 11, 2011, 35 years since he last wore a Larks uniform.

In 2011 the Jet Award was established in Rodgers honor, as a national award given annually to the best return specialist in all of college football. Beginning with the 2012 award ceremony, in addition to being given to the annual award winner, the Jet Award will be presented retroactively one decade at a time, starting with the 1959–1969 winners.

Irving Fryar in 4 years:

Jet trumps him in production, accolades, titles, everything. Fryar had a better pro career clearly, and had an awesome career here, but the college career between the two isn’t even a conversation. The quote was greatest HUSKER wr ever, that goes to Jet and it’s not even a debate

Ha. You took my last sentence wrong. I was conceding the Jet (and his Heisman) is in front of him. I, apparently insanely, agree with you that Jet’s resume is better and trumps Fryar’s. I was saying Jet is the only one with a better resume.
