Very good article here which is where informed my response from.

Pretty sure Jeremy claiming that Peetz was going to be OC & Satt only coach tight ends is incorrect.

Also Jeremy is like 100x Tim Verghese level of claiming to have always known everything. He definitely knows some stuff, but is nowhere near the expert he'd tell you he is.

Agree. The way I remember it is Satt was always going to be OC. Peetz was earmarked to be the QB coach. The last minute, unplanned change when Peetz turned it down was making Satt the QB coach, not the OC.

I take every article with a grain of salt, I thought it was a good article because a lot of names posted as replacements have been talked about extensively here. Regardless of the writer’s knowledge or not, there is no way IMO Rhule can walk it back now without making substantial changes on the offensive side of the ball, such as the coaching positions that were suggested in the article.

Would be a total GUT PUNCH to keep our same OC, ST, WR, QB, and RB coaches; my hope in Rhule would fade completely away; especially given the opportunity he has in front of him regarding making changes.

I don’t think there is any way that Holgorsen is here working if he doesn’t know he is the OC next year. Chris Schmitt on Hail Varsity put it at 70 percent that Holg is our OC next year. Bringing him in now before other teams get their claws in him is an excellent move IMO.

As the article points out, it also gives him a unique chance to get to assess the current coaches and figure out who he wants back and who he wants to replace, as well as getting to know the players. It’s like getting a running start at a new job, an actual “year zero.”

Idk if I'd get my hopes up of a complete overhaul like that. Just not Rhules MO. I'd expect one or two more beyond Satterfield, but not everyone. And that's probably ok as long as a guy like Holgerson is the replacement.

I talked to a guy who is associated with the team last night and I asked him if Holgerson was going to be our new OC. He smiled and shook his head. He didn't know if he was creating the game plan going forward though. He's on the strength staff.
Shook his head “no”?

Say we limit it to 3ish coaches, I’d be happy with this:

- New OC/QB (assuming Holg takes over both).
- New ST.
- New WR.
